Which digital camera should we choose?
We are looking to get a digital camera that we can carry around with us. The one we have has started to go out on us. My wife is a semi-professional photographer, so she has a nice digital SLR. We want something that isn’t quite as bulky that we can carry around in a diaper bag or purse. We would like to spend under $300. Our main use of it would be to take pictures of our two young children. We also want something that we can take short video clips on. What do you think is the best camera out there in that price range? I have looked at many cameras, but any opinions and ideas are appreciated.
We are not necessarily looking for the smallest camera (so it could be on that is a bit more bulky), but we just want it to have the lense retract inside. Also, I am looking for specific models for suggestions. Thanks for the help so far, and keep it coming.
