what is the best waterproof digital camera out now?
Do you mean waterproof as in you can dive with it, or as you can shoot with it in the rain and not have to worry.
At present, only Olympus and Pentax make P&S digital cameras designed for taking under water while free diving.
Canon has promised to release one soon and it is probably a good bet that others will follow. Perhaps the other quality of this type cameras is the shockproof feature most have
