In making a logical decision, you must factor in more than how the camera looks. If that is the most important thing to you… get the coolest looking camera. If you want something that is a good value for your money, we must evaluate specifications and features.
I would suggest searching for reviews of the products you are considering. Make a list of criteria.
Megapixels are not that important unless you intend to print the photos very large. A 6 or 8 megapixel camera can produce photographs with enough detail to print something as large as 11×17″ (two page spread) and maintain photographic detail. Do you plan to print very large images frequently?

My favourite series of compact digital cameras is the Olympus SW series because most compact digital cameras have similar image quality, and the new Canon SD series is very small and sleek; but the Olympus cameras are durable and waterproof. I am rough with my gear and I appreciate things that are practically indestructible. Check them out here:
