Storing photos on cameras is NOT a good idea, in fact to be able to do anything with them, you will eventually need to copy all of them to your computer.
Just do this: Buy a 2 gb SD card (under $10 on sale). After you return home, immediately copy all the images to the computer and then format the card using the format feature on the camera, so the card is ready for your next set of photos
