Camera Error 99?
I just got a new-to-me lens from a reputable lens dealer on ebay. They stated that the lens was in good condition except that the autofocus was broken.
I have attached this lens to my
Canon K2
Canon EOS 2000
Canon Rebel XT
On every camera, when I press the shutter I get an incomplete shutter snap. Its the same on all three cameras, except my digital displayed an Error 99 while the others did not.
My cameras all work perfectly with myother lenses.
Any idea whats wrong with the lens?
The first thing to do is clean the contact on the lens with a pencil eraser. If one of those contacts is dirty, it can cause the error that you are experiencing.
If this does not work, you will need to send the lens off to have it serviced.
