that’s the most i can afford to spend, so which of the above is better?
i have a purple nikon coolpix that i dont like very much and want to “upgrade” to one of the above.
i’m particularly interested in action shots and manual focus [blurring backgrounds to some degree]

They’re both fairly average general use cameras but unfortunately they’re not really going to help you take professional pictures for more reasons than I have time to mention here. But realistically if you want to take advanced pictures you will need to invest in an entry level digital SLR camera. If you can’t find a used camera or can’t afford a digital SLR at this point I’d recommend waiting, blurring the backgrounds can also be done (though not as easily) through photoshops. Have a look online for tutorials, keep getting better at using the camera you have already which will help you on perfecting your composition and ideas and save up for an entry level SLR.
