Are they any good?
I noticed they aren’t REALLY expensive like L lens from Canon but they are not REALLY cheap either. Im reading reviews on newegg and people seem to be happy with how sharp the images are. There are just complaints with slow focus speeds.I know with that said it will depend on the type of photography im planning on doing I guess(for the slow focus speeds)… Anyone have any experience with them? Are they durable? I want to buy a macro lense from them. (this one TAMRON SP AF 90mm F/2.8 Di Macro 1:1 Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras ) Any help would be much appreciated.

Tamron lenses are on a par optically, but have very poor build quality.
Compared to Sigma they are poor indeed. For your Canon (with its 1.6X crop) this Sigma 70mm macro is a much better bet.

Being an EX series (Sigma’s ‘L’ version) build quality is superb and beats Canon for sharpness, flat exposure field, colour balance and contrast in short in all departments (to be fair it beats most makes of lenses).
It’s not the cheapest, but with lens quality being the single most important thing for image quality, it is currently the best. It genuinely is one of Sigma’s classic lenses.
