is it a good camera compared, to lets say, a sony?

Sounds like you need/want a camera with great OPTICAL ZOOM for those concert shots. Never mind digital zoom number on the camera…it just ruins the quality of your close up shot.
Look for a zoom 6x< (6x or higher). Assumming you aren't sitting in the first 25 rows at a concert. Though 3-4x is good for most users.
Just my opinion...look into Nikon or Canon.
p.s. I just looked at the link you provided. The specs on the camera you have is not bad.
