I want my camera to take bright pictures like this :

Mine is all dark, with orange hue. Obviously it has to be in a bright enviroment I know that. But this picture is just so bright. It’s not photoshoped, this picture is actually my friends. Now she’s not a photography or anything, she just takes pictures for fun, so she has no idea. Anyways.. my camera is a Canon digital Ixus 40. 4.0 Mega pixels. What should I set the settings to?

When all else fails – READ & STUDY the Owner’s Manual for your camera. Then just leave it in Auto or Program Mode and let the camera make all the decisions.
