Is my dad right about the Touch Screen Digital Camera by sony?
well me and my family have one camera that we have to share. Its me, My dad, my mom, and my bro who is like 5. SO i told my mom to get me the touch screen camera for christmas but my dad said no cuz we already have ONE but i think i need my own digital Camera because 1)there are some pics that i wouldn’t want my parents to see, 2)sometimes my dad has the camera with him and i cant use it when i need,3) plus the camera is always in my room cuz i take a lot of pics so he screams at me cuz i don’t put it back to his room but like i forget to put it back all the time cuz i use a lot. SO DO u think i need my own camera ? if u do can u tell me how can i convince him to let me get a camera??
Sweetie, you sound like you have a bit of an attitude problem.
It is no good TELLING your parents to get you your own!
I completely understand why you want your own, but you need to adjust your attitude.
Speaking from both the experience as a previous teenager and a current parent, there are much better ways to go about it.
A) When you’re calm and everyone is in a good mood, ask to speak to your parents. CALMLY AND POLITELY explain to them why you would like your own camera.
B) Present some good arguments and something to impress them with. Show them you don’t just want a toy, but you want to learn a new skill which will come in handy for many things (list a few).
C) Explain that you don’t expect to have it handed to you on a silver platter, but ask for opportunities to EARN it (i.e. take on a number of chores for a while).
D) If you DO get one, follow through. Borrow books from the library, learn about photography and really impress them with some GOOD photos. In fact, start the learning part NOW with the current camera you have access too – they might be much more willing to open their wallet when they actually SEE you making an effort.
Always remember that honey will get you a lot more flies than vinegar does!
