Camera Question…?
Ok, I’m a kid, so I’m on a short budget of about $100-$230 bucks so, please take that into consideration before shouting out some expensive high-tech camera…
But anyways, I’m looking for a digital camera with these features:
#1. Records onto a memory card in .avi format
#2. A relatively big digital screen
#3. Uses XD card
#4. Zoom
It would also be nice if it was compatible with an Ambico 54 inch tri-pod ’cause that way I don’t have to buy a new one… but that isn’t a necessity. Also, if a certain camcorder has all of these features that’d be cool too.
So, if you know of any digital cameras (or camcorders) that fit these requirements I need, that’d be great. Links to the official site, or the place where you found the information would be good too.
EDIT: Ok, it doesn’t need to be XD format… don’t even know why I said that. But the MAIN thing I ‘m looking for, is a camera that can record with audio, and the movie files are compatible with Windows Movie Maker.
Digital cameras record in Jpeg mode, not AVI.
The only cameras that use xD cards are Olympus models.
There are lots of cameras in your price range.
Most cameras support a standard tripod screw mount.
If you want to do movies, get a camcorder. For stills get a still camera. Neither type does both well.
Check dpreview for info on cameras. They are very unbiased.
