can the lenzes of a film camera fit a new digital camera..?
i have a olympus omg camera with zoom wide angle regular and zoom lenzes.. thease lenzes cost ,me a lot.. i am trying to find out if there is a new digital camera that i can use thease lenzes on direct.. i have tried to find an answer with dealers and none are shure..
Of course .. but there are some limitations depending upon the age of the lenses and the brand of the camera’s
Olympus has a OM Adapter MF-1 that will allow older OM series lenses to be used on their digital cameras in the manual mode.
Other camera lens compatibilities:
Nikon AF lenses will fit and work on all their cameras as well as Nikon AI lenses introduced in 1977 (except for the D40(x) which can only use lenses made after 1992 (Still 15 years of good used lenses)). And with some modifications Nikon digital SLR’s can use lenses back to 1959.
Canon lenses made after the switch over to the EOS system in 1985. Older Canon lenses will not fit, work, nor can they be modified.
Pentax “K” series lenses will work an all their digital SLR’s
Sony accepts some of the newer Minolta auto-focus lenses.
