My camera battery won’t charge!?
I have an Olympus Stylus digital camera and have charged its’ battery for 2 days straight now but, when I put it back in the camera, the camera IMMEDIATELY displays “battery empty”. What could I be doing wrong? Also, I don’t ever remember the charger flashing red while the battery was charging. It’s always remained a steady red then turned either green or simply went out when the charge was complete.
Get another battery. If it does the same, the camera is bad and you can return the battery for a refund. You will most likely need a new camera or get it fixed under warrandy if it is covered because the cost of repairs are usually more than the camera is worth.
If it is good with the new battery you are all set.
You should never have to charge the battery for 2 days. Most chargers cut off the charging when the battery is full. If the charger looks like it is charging continuously for 2 days, there is definitely something wrong with the battery or charger.
