OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAS REVIEWS PRICES
people who have experience with digital cameras~!~?…over here!!!?

ok…

the Olympus FE-340 and

the Canon SD750 and

the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3A

are exactly the same price….$199.99
….
…..

Panasonic has the most Megapixels
but Olympus has 5x optical zoom!…
Canon has the biggest LCD screen

the other two has image stabilization but Canon doesn’t…
I have no idea what a burst mode is…but olympus doesn’t have it….

Olympus is the only one that only accepts xD-picture card…but then again,….it has a lot of features….

but…canon has a lot of good reviews…
and olympus and panasonic doesn’t cause they’re kinda new….

I’m kind of leaning toward the olympus…but then again I’m not cause I’m not good at making up my mind….
….
…….if only I could buy all three….!!!

…..help me!!!
canon seems to have a lot of lens malfuntions….I’m gonna take it to school so I can’t have anything fragile….

The Olympus FE-340’s optical quality is, just as pretty much all of the Olympus FE series cameras, quite poor. Besides, Olympus cameras use xD cards, which are not the best in terms of capacity vs. speed vs. price. And no, the FE-340 does NOT have an actual, mechanical image stabilizer, either lens-shift or CCD-shift… all it has is an “ISO boost” function that, though it helps in preventing picture blur due to camera shake, it does so at the cost of further degrading the image quality. Besides that, its lens is too slow (f/3.5 – f/5.6), so it’s quite a poor camera for any indoor, low light situation; and the video frame rate, 15 fps., doesn’t cut it for smooth recording.

The Canon SD750 is… well, nicer. It still doesn’t have any image stabilizer (though at least it doesn’t pretend otherwise), but it has somewhat better optical quality (not much, but still better), a faster lens, a better image processing, more picture adjustments settings, better video quality and frame rate (30 fps), a better macro focusing mode, etc. The LCD screen is larger, but it doesn’t have more resolution than the cheaper SD1000 (or, for that matter, the Olympus FE-230), so it’s something of a waste, and the SD1000 is a more practical buy.

The Panasonic FS3 is, overall, the best of the three. It has better optical quality than the Canon SD750, an actual mechanical stabilizer (of the lens-shift variety, and an efficient one at that), a bit wider lens, the same lens luminosity, a slightly larger video recording resolution, a quite faster burst speed shooting (by the way, “burst shooting” means that the camera takes as many photos as it can, and as fast as it can… it’s useful in several instances, for example when photographing sports), a slightly wider range of shutter speeds, and the rest of its features are more or less along the lines of the Canon SD750 (except for the LCD screen).

So, I’d definitely go with the Panasonic.
