SIGMA CAMERA LENSES CANON
Other companies’ lens for canon camera? Is that possible?

I am yet a complete noob at photography, and I am looking to try wide lens with my Canon Rebel XS.
I am willing to spend up to 300 dollars for a decent wide lens, and I know I wouldn’t get a new one with that budget. so I am looking for a second hand lenses, and I see some ads with Sigma and such that can be complied with canon cameras. I am wondering if that is possible, to use other companies’ lens other than canon’s for a canon camera.

Yes, it is. You have to make sure, as the buyer, that you are getting a lens made for the Canon EF mount. But there are other makers of lenses to fit you Canon, than Canon.

Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, and Zeiss are the “name brand” after market lens makers.
