Digital Camera Advice?
I am getting ready to buy a digital camera and I am not sure which one to go with. I borrowed my in-laws camera recently and was disappointed at how long it waited to take a pic after you pushed the button. I really want to find a camera that takes pictures pretty much as soon as you push the button. It will be used mostly to take photos of my kids and school events, etc. I will probably be purchasing it at Walmart (just because thats the only store around here). Any specific advice would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to spend about $200 and am just wanting to find the best camera for the money. Thanks.

Unless you go to a much more costly camera
such as a quality DSLR you are going to be
faced with this problem.
I think the delay you are mentioning is in focusing.
Usually you push the shutter release button half
way down and the camera focuses and sets
exposure. That’s where the delay occurs. Once
it attains focus and exposure settings it should
take the picture immediately as you press shutter
the rest of the way.
This is something you just have to live with.
What you can do when the kids are doing something
you want to capture like drawing, playing with dolls
or whatever is get situated, depress the button half
way and then just wait for the magic moment.

One email a day. Of course, he wants you to buy his
